ABKC Grand CHAMPI0N
Glen Ellen’s Blue Buckaroo
(Closed to the Public.)
GRCH Bucky has it all: Pedigree, health scores (OFA CHIC # 185965), temperament, bone, expression, open breathing and incredible athletic stamina ...and a crowd favorite in the show ring. He is my dream dog, in every way... I'm honored to be his human, and to stand him in Glen Ellen for future contributions to the Frenchie gene pool
GrCh Bucky began showing at 9-months-old, Championed at 12 months, and received his Grand title at only 2 years old. He loves to work and train, hike and play with my son and his friends, and has a charismatic, hilarious, loving, intelligent, and grounded temperament.
The feedback I’ve gotten on Bucky from judges and other breeders is his movement (his “come and go”) is fluid, driven and correct. He is compact, heavy boned and structurally correct; the textbook definition of breed standard. He has a substantial and expressive headpiece with a correct bite and proper ear set.
Our local vet (who has extensive experience working with our breed) has called Bucky, “The nicest French Bulldog she’s ever seen.” That is quite an honor coming from someone who has cared for hundreds of French Bulldog’s over the years. He has a high semen count and motility, which makes him an ideal stud for fresh, chilled samples for shipping. I prefer to ship vet-to-vet only, and ideally will get a 24-hour notice for an impending shipping. This allows me to clear my schedule to be able to get you your future Bucky babies shipped overnight, and to have his semen analysis from my vet accompany the collection. In the case of a quick progesterone rise, I am able to collect, extend and chill the sample here at Frenchies of Glen Ellen. I exclusively use CaniPlus Chill extender, which has proven to be the best on the market, in my opinion.
GRCH Bucky is negative for Cysturnia 3, and is 4 panel clear through Canine HealthCheck. His weight is currently at 26 lbs at 5 years-old. He is OFA Certified CHIC #185965 with GOOD hips, wide trachea (2.5 diameter), elbows, spine, patellas, heart and eyes. He moves correctly with vigorous reach and drive, and maintains excellent respiratory stamina on his daily walks and hikes. He has been graded on the RFGS scale as a "1" (BOAS unaffected) and is OFA certified for his breathing, which is becoming increasingly important to focus on in this breed.
Bucky has beautiful, healthy puppies on the ground (and one who has already earned his ABKC Champion title) and has had large litters with both males and female offspring. He is proving to throw his substantial headpiece, heavy bone, tight feet, open nares and his signature intelligent, "Bucky" expression.

Introducing Vacationland's T-Bone! The son of GrCh Bucky and the beautiful red fawn "Queen" Jackie. T-Bone is standing in Maine in collaboration with Frenchies of Glen Ellen. He is open for limited breedings with an introduction rate until he garners his CHIC certification later this year. T-Bone has everything I love about Bucky, with a generous dose of refinement from his stunning dam and her classic pedigree. Feel free to reach out directly to Shana Dube at Vacationland French Bulldogs with any inquiries on his pedigree, health testing or upcoming pups. I can't recommend them both enough! Wonderful dog... and dog mama!

Another outstanding GrCh Bucky & Ch Phemme baby who has grown out beautifully: Glen Ellen's Ursa Minor WHF. Sweet "Drover" is standing in Pennsylvania with his co-owner and RVT Kristin. He has had fabulous feedback in the ABKC show ring, and is slowly but surely making his way to Champion title. He has two lovely litters on the ground, and is collecting OFA certs for his CHIC, as well. (He has OFA hips, elbow, patella, cardiac and thyroid certifications.) Drover moves and breathes effortlessly, has substantial and correct structure... and has the most charming expression and personality. I can't wait to have more Drover babies here in Glen Ellen, and until then, he is open for limited engagements with approved females at an introductory rate until he gets his CHIC and Champion certificates. Feel free to reach out with any questions on Drover, and Kristin can be emailed at kristinjank@email; or feel free to reach out to me directly.

Drover and his proud smile after a successful show.

I am thrilled to report that Angus (Kiki & Bucky DOB 4/7/25) is continuing in the legacy of not only GOOD, but GREAT, hip evaluations. French Bulldog PennHIP breed average DI (distraction index) is generally considered to be around .58-.65. Angus is a .37 and .40! Not only that, his preliminary OFA BOAS screening is an RFGS 0 (normal/no clinical signs of BOAS), and he claimed a UKC Best of Breed win (showing against a UKC Grand Champion!) at 7 months-old.
Angus' sweet temperament, his perfect amount of drive AND chill, his athletic prowess, and his unique, rare, and densely prolific pedigree on both his dam and sire's side is the dream stud and sire I've been working towards all these years. How he came to be is a story (a novel perhaps, lol) that can only be described as "meant to be."
Angus will complete his eye, heart, patella, and spine OFA certifications this June and will continue to show and train as he matures into himself. He has aleady been deemed normal in radiographs and veterinary evaluations, which is super exciting, but he's ready to collect his certs like his sire and dam have done. (Kiki has OFA BOAS, spine (she has a gorgeous spine and BEAUTIFUL hips) patella & heart; and Bucky is CHIC w/ OFA GOOD hips. Feel free to reach out to see any of the radiographs, OFA links, or certs.
Introducing Buckaroo's AC/DC "Angus." The standard brindle piebald singleton who stole our heart; and the future of our little program, and generations to come.

Angus at 6 months-old in the Glen Ellen morning light.
